When darkness shows up,
we bring the Lyte.
Turning Pain Into Purpose. Bringing Light Into the Darkness.
Born from loss. Built on love.
On May 13, 2025, founder Rosland Anderson and her family lost her husband and the father of her children to suicide. His death forever changed their family — but it also sparked a mission.
From that grief, Black Lyte'N Initiative was born. Not as a monument to loss, but as a living commitment to reach people before another family experiences the devastation of losing someone they love.
What began with one family's pain is becoming a movement centered on one simple belief: sometimes saving a life begins with showing up.
"Sometimes saving a life begins with showing up."
— Rosland Anderson, Founder
The superhero who shows up.
Black Lyte'N is not defined by physical strength. His greatest superpower is the ability to bring light, connection, compassion, resources, and hope into moments of darkness.
He represents every person who chooses to show up — for a friend, a family member, a stranger — in the moments when it matters most. He is the embodiment of what this initiative believes: that one person, showing up with care, can change everything.
